Committed to Continuing Education

On a yearly basis, we routinely attend and participate in 100 to 200 hours of continuing education. We are also committed to sharing our knowledge and experiences with other dental specialists, dentists, and the public in the form of lectures and programs. Our commitment to education focuses on both personal and professional growth, which results in providing patients with the most predictable and current proven strategies in the delivery of our services.

When It Comes to Your Smile, Experience Makes a Difference

Dr. McDonough specializes in full-service periodontics and implant placement. He is board certified by the American Board of Periodontology, and has extensive experience as both a clinician and educator.  While in the Air Force, Dr. McDonough served as an instructor in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program at Eglin Air Force Base, training other Air Force dentists in advanced procedures.

In addition, he has attended courses nationally and internationally, including the Master Course for Esthetic Implants at the highly respected Center for Continuing Dental Education in Bern, Switzerland. From highly personalized service to comfortable IV sedation options, Dr. McDonough and our caring team deliver the treatment you need, when you need it most.

Our Practice Focuses on the Team Approach to Dentistry

We strive to make your visits with us as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Our New Bern dental office strongly believes that our patients’ comfort and well-being are an integral part of quality dental care, and we offer oral and IV levels of sedation to facilitate this goal.
